Narvaez Bay Walk
Saturday, June 7
Rendez-vous at 1 pm
At the end of Narvaez road, at the park gate.
Bring water and a snack, and wear good walking or hiking shoes.
We will walk down the path (an old logging road) to the pebble beach, and the rocky point beyond. From the point, there are panoramic views of the San Juan islands, and of Cliffside, on Saturna.
Narvaez Bay was the site of an old farm, so you can still see meadows and an orchard on the level area near the water. The tide will be low on Saturday afternoon, so the Women Who Walk can enjoy some beach time, examining all the lovely pebbles, their colour and texture... and having a picnic.
There are also interesting textures, seaweeds and such, in the rocky crags along the shoreline. This walk is easy, although returning to the cars at the end will be uphill all the way.
See you on Saturday!
